"My question now is on Deuteronomy 4:13. I understand that the Ten Commandment is not the old covenant, but is a part of. But it seems that the Ten Commandments is the covenant at mount sinai in Deuteronomy 4:13 and Exodud 34:28. Please help me understand because the idea that the Ten Commandments is not the covenant at Sinai, but is a part of, seems contradictory to the verses mentioned.

I'd like also to know how would you reconcile giving tithes which is specific (10% of increase (Lev. 27:30; Deut. 14:22; Mal. 3:10)) with giving according to what a man purpose in his heart (2 Cor. 9:7)? Is giving tithe part of ceremonial law?

I know that Jesus did support tithes (Matt. 23:23), but did Jesus paid tithes? I know that He did pay temple tax, but it is the same with tithes?

What do you advise me to do an Adventist friend who doesnt believe our doctrines anymore? I am studying with this co-worker friend and our common friend (non-Adventist) which started out good but later on I realized that what he is doing is counter our teachings everytime we study. I feel like I'm always on a battle to defend my faith everytime I study with them. It is even more difficult because he knows all the verses I know about each topic we study because he used to be a layman and elder in their local church and have been an Adventist for over 40 years. I stay up late at night contemplating our discussions everytime and its stressing me. That's why I some times would like to quit studying with them. On the other hand, i'm concerned about him and our other non-Adventist friend because she seems to side with him when we have different take on a teaching. What would you advice? He once asked me to watch Dale Ratzlaff's youtube teaching, but i did not because I knew from a previous Audioverse seminar that I listened to that he was a former Adventist whose ministry is to counter our teaching (what a ministry!šŸ˜¢) What would you advice for me? Should I consider looking into such teachings so I can deal with those anti-Adventist teachings better? "
