"I am an Adventist and have a question about the 6000 years of sin. Ellen has made comments in various writings about Satan having 6000 years to work his work of deception. Following Bible given genealogy and prophecy concerning end times, we know this time frame is about exhausted. All I'm wondering is, if anywhere in the Bible I can do a study on the 6000 years of sin. Or is this a spirit of prophecy comment only?"

"The statement of Sister White on the Apocrypha, however, shocked me, so I decided to further investigate. By searching her writings, I have come to the conclusion that the Old Testament Apocrypha is indeed valid and should be studied, so I have begun to study its books. So far I have read “Bel and the Dragon” and the book of Tobit. The question I have for you is: Do you think that I have come to a right conclusion? Should these books be studied?"

"In Revelation 18:24, the harlot is described as: “And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”” This is a picture of earthly Jerusalem as described by Jesus in Matthew 23:35 “that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.” I know Papal Rome has shed blood and killed the saints, but has she killed the prophets? How can we respond to preterists who say these descriptions of the harlot can be none other than Jerusalem?"
