Love-Driven Ministry
Welcome to SUMtv Sabbath School, Lesson 9 of Quarter 3 in our study of First and Second Corinthians. In this lesson, Love-Driven Ministry, we examine Paul’s example of a ministry motivated by the love of Christ and his deep concern for the spiritual well-being of God’s people.
Paul’s relationship with the Corinthian believers reveals that true Christian ministry is more than preaching, teaching, or fulfilling responsibilities. It flows from genuine love for Christ and for others. Even when Paul had to confront difficult problems within the church, his goal was not condemnation but repentance, reconciliation, restoration, and spiritual growth.
This lesson challenges us to consider what motivates our own service for God. When Christ’s love controls our hearts, ministry becomes an opportunity to serve rather than seek recognition, to build others up rather than ourselves, and to participate in God’s work of reconciliation.
