This quotation by Ellen White leads me to believe that the kingdom of Daniel 2:44 has already been set up at the cross.
“Through the Hebrew captives the Lord was made known to the heathen in Babylon. This idolatrous nation was given a knowledge of the KINGDOM the Lord was to ESTABLISH, and through His power MAINTAIN against all the power and craft of Satan.” (Letter 32, 1899)!
According to this statement, the kingdom of God which was to be set up, and the power and craft of Satan were to exist contemporaneously. The word “maintain” infers an ongoing battle against Satan after the setting up of this kingdom.
At the second coming there will be no maintaining against the power and craft of Satan because Satan is bound for 1000 years, and the subjects of God’s kingdom are in heaven.
