John 5:21 says the Father raises the dead, but I’ve always believed it was the Son who interacted with humanity throughout the Bible. Didn’t Jesus speak to Moses and Abraham? Where does Scripture clearly say the Father raised anyone?

Luke 24:1 uses the Greek word sabbaton, which usually means “Sabbath.” Should it be translated “first Sabbath” instead of “first day of the week”? Could this point to the Feast of Firstfruits on the 16th of Nisan? A Messianic Jew in our church claims this means Jesus wasn’t crucified on Friday. Can this be biblically supported?
