1 Timothy 2:11, actually the verses from 8-15 are about how men and women shall worship in the gathering; The Greek,”did-as’-ko”(teach), here used with authority exercising which are negative behavior; shall not refer to as Paul forbiding women give a sermon;

1Cor14:34,35(the letter of Paul was to correct Corinthians church problem of worship order——men/women in different part of the gathering hall, if too much tele-communication between wife/husband or so will cause too much confusion). So shall we take that Paul wasn’t talking about woman preaching?

1Cor11:3-10, Paul was talking women pray or prophesy as men, but should be right manner(showing His character), because there are some women practicing preaching without covering of hair which is arrogant at the time, almost as some other pagan temple prostitutes. While from verse 11-16,Paul also point out men also need to preach in humility, that men and women will spiritually grow together as Joel 2:28.

However, in China, churches manage independently from General conference, there are many women pastors/elders, in our church we don’t have that problem, but our pastor insists women shall not preach in formal sermon, while other teaching time,Sabbath lesson or afternoon sharing will be fine. May I get your support in this issue? And my further question: is formal sermon treated as only right for pastor/elder as priest for sacrificing service in OT? Is woman preaching in Sabbath sermon time a taking over pastor/elder’s privilege?
